AMHA and AMHR registered,
31.5" DOB 6/6/93 Morning has always
been a brood mare and she has the belly that shows that. But,
she also has the body that reflects her champion making
bloodlines. Her paternal grandfather is Wittmaack's Mickey Mouse
(one of only two alive sons of Gold Melody Boy) and maternal
grandfather is Boones Little Andy. When you look at
her bloodlines, you can click on the
names in blue to learn more about each horse.
Morning is timid due to only being handled
as a brood mare, but she is kind. I doubt she could ever be a child's
horse or really anything but a broodmare. But, she does that
very well. She is good
for the farrier, and easy to clip. Morning is a
Silver Dapple. Silver Dapple can be confused with Grey horses.
One distinguishing trait is that Silver Dapple horses have faces
darker than the rest of their bodies. Grey horses are also born
a different color and then "grey" as they lose their baby coat.
Greys also lighten with age; whereas Silver Dapples do not.
Silver dapples are on a black base color. (I have not dna'd
Morning though) |
Morning's trot is floaty with good knee
action and a rear end that gets under her. She does one back leg that
turns in a bit, but I was told this was from an injury earlier in life.
Her baby's legs were correct, so I tend to believe what I was told.
Her record as a broodmare includes the
foals below:
TIBBS SWEET MELODY 05/03/1997
ALEXANDRAS LITTLE STORMY 05/05/1999
SCMR AJ BOONES ARIZONA SUNRISE 05/18/2001
SCMR SHADOWS BLUE THUNDER 05/07/2002
SCMR LITTLE ANDYS BABYFACE 05/11/2003
SCMR SECRETS TOPGUN 04/20/2004
PAINTED
SUNS GOLDEN SLIPPER 04/07/2008 (pictured below)
I AM
WARRIORS SILVER FLAME 3/1/10
 |
Her babies have all been small and very,
very gentle. Her baby in 2008 was a princess.
Her babies have gorgeous faces and are exceptionally sweet.
Click here to meet her. Morning was
an easy mare to foal out. She has always been a
brood mare. Because of this, she is a shy mare, but very sweet. Her baby
is anything but shy. |

Gold Melody Boy, 33"
| Although technically a Shetland, Gold Melody Boy
became a foundation sire for many of today's Miniature
Horses.

Click here to read an interesting article
about Gold Melody Boy that was originally
published in the AMHA journal. |
Although he only sired 34 offspring, his
bloodlines are
responsible for many of today's outstanding
horses. He sired Boones Little Buckeroo (National
Grand Champion Halter, three time Nat'l Grand Champion
Get of Sire, multiple Grand champion and National
Champion sire), Cloverdowns Ranger Blue (Nat'l Champion
in Driving and in Liberty), AF Golden Opportunity (AMHR

Boones Little Andy, 30.25"

(Reserve Nat'l Champions Senior Mare and Reserve Nat'l Champion
Producer), Deiles Girl of Excellence (National and Reserve Nat'l
Champion in Produce of Dam and multiple Nat'l Champion

sired many award winning mares. Boones Little Andy originally
was standing at Lucky Four Farms, but is now owned by Wall

Ayers Mini Red Man, 28.5"
|
 |
This foundation stallion is also the
Greatgrandpa
of our mare that we call
"Magic" and in
"Turbalina."
He was the 51st horse registered with the
AMHA and sired 22 foals. He appears in the
pedigree of a great many champions. He was
registered with AMHR as Freemans Red Man. He is
said to be the son of Bramamans Peppermint and
out of a mare named Limpy. He is also a full
brother to Ramundo and Stout's Mister Pride.
Ayers Mini Man has
sired some of the best conformationally correct.
When the International Miniature Horse Registry
transferred over to the AMHA, he was part of
their merger. He has only 22 foals registered to
him, the last being in 1984.

|
|

our mares, "Turbalina" |

his grandget have been Champions too. One of his
sons NFCS Butterscotch Boy was a National and
Reserve National Champion driving horse in 1990
& 1991. He also sired one Reserve National
Champion Senior mare 28" and under with her name
being Davis I Love Lucy. Like his father he was
originally in the International Miniature
Horse Registry and was transferred over to the
