Mika!!!

2012 USDAA Cynosport World Games Performance Grand Prix Champion!

8/24/12

Congratulations to Mika and Brenda!!!

This tiny dark puppy will mature as a Sable and white, and should stay small! September 5th. Phoenix has a rainy day and it is perfect weather for a nap! You can see that her eyes are just opening up. She still spends most of her day sleeping and nursing.

We call her Sable and we also call her Lil' Miss Raccoon due to her striped tail!

Below is "Mika" in her new home with her new friend!

Click here to see Mika at 9 months of age. She has begun to learn agility!!!

And here are emails from her trainer/mom. Agility looks like a blast to do and I know Papillons have been excelling in it!

Hello all,

I have been doing some beginner agility classes with Mika because I wanted her to stay confident and social.  She has only completed a puppy  and beginners class, but she's doing good.  The other night we went to an 'open session' and much more experienced folks were there and video-taping the runs.  So, I am sending you a link of one of Mika's runs.  She looks alot like her momma, only bigger!    The trainers love her because she is so sweet and they are impressed at her drive and 'smarts' at only 8-9 months  :-)    The link to view her 'run' is on You Tube--here is the url:   http://www.youtube.com/user/gooddogagility#p/u/29/FulHGQ6NPnE

Let me know whether it works - o.k?

Her temperament is amazing!  she is so calm and stable.  She just loves everybody and everything!   By the way, Noel's puppies are beautiful  :-)
Take care,
Brenda

Hi Brenda,

I don't know if I ever sent you this, but this is the first we saw of Mika!   (click on thumbnail)

I made a movie of you two doing agility....is it OK if I post it on the site?? Here it is for you to preview....

We are having a blast with Noel's pups. The little one that was here when you were here has just stayed tiny and I don't want Magi to breed her. I will have to watch her very carefully when she comes into heat.

Memorial day means our last parade with the minis and with the dogs. Joy also has pups so only Magi will go with us. Then the heat slows down our schedule. It is hard to do much with the horses when it gets much hotter.
Give Mika a big kiss!
Blessings,
Beth

Hi Beth!

It is absolutely fine to post the video!   Mika is ony limited by my lack of handling skills!  She is amazing and LOVES the agility.  She greets every person and their dog at class and wants to give all the kisses she can!  You are doing a great job with breeding and socialization!!!   By the way, she is COMPLETELY happy  to ride in the car now - and SO well behaved!  I take her with me every time I can.

Thank you so much for the pic of her little paw trying to make entrance into this crazy world and the video of her being held!  When I am working on my computer, she will dance around on her hind legs and beg me to come sit in the chair with her...so sweet!

I brag about how blessed I was to have found you folks and how wonderful you are with all the animals you care for.  I will continue to keep you posted on Mika's escapades.  Be safe,

You are DEFINITELY NOT too old for agility -- especially for these little ones!   As we both improve, we will get faster.. but there are several ladies around my age who do very well.   I don't know how you find the time for all you already do!

Yes, Mika's coat is coming in nicely...it is pretty thick - !   Her little belly is still short from when she was spayed.   I can't wait to see her when it is really full!   She has the cutest long blonde hair growing out of her ears - when the wind blows it looks almost like two antennas waving in the breeze...haha.

Did I ever tell you that she gets into my German Shepherd's mouths and cleans their teeth?  When she was little, her whole head would be inside Roxy's mouth...
Brenda  :-)
